Privacy policy

GramCup is local-first. You don’t need an account, and your conversions don’t need a network connection.

Conversions stay on your device

Conversions use the bundled ingredient density table on your iPhone. There is no network fetch for conversions. We do not upload your ingredient searches, custom ingredient names, amounts or conversion results.

Data on your device

Custom ingredient weights and conversion history are stored locally in SQLite on your phone. You can clear conversion history in Unlock / Settings. Export and deletion of all local data are planned controls; they are not promised as available in the current version. Use those actions when they become available in the app.

Optional analytics — off until you opt in

If you enable “Share anonymous usage” (Analytics) in Unlock / Settings, GramCup sends anonymous, allowlisted usage events to PostHog’s European Union service. These events help us understand which features are used. Analytics is off by default, and no analytics events are sent until you opt in.

Autocapture and session replay are off. Events do not contain custom ingredient names, search text, amounts, conversion results or other personally identifying information. Analytics data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking. You can turn this option off again in Unlock / Settings.

Apple and RevenueCat purchases

The optional lifetime unlock uses Apple In-App Purchase through RevenueCat. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase receipts and purchase history to validate your entitlement and restore purchases. Apple’s purchase records are associated with your Apple ID. We do not receive your payment card details, and no custom ingredient or conversion data is sent to RevenueCat.

Purchases and restoring purchases need a network connection. This does not change the offline conversion feature.

What GramCup does not collect

GramCup does not require account registration or collect location, contacts, photos, health, nutrition or calorie data. Your custom ingredients and conversion history remain on your device.

Third-party services

• PostHog EU: optional app analytics after consent.
• RevenueCat: in-app purchases and entitlement validation.
• Apple: App Store billing and restore.

This website

This static marketing website includes no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies or browser storage. App analytics consent applies within the app. Following App Store links takes you to Apple’s website, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.
